Two cops martyred in Khyber Agency check post attack

• Two police officials martyred in a suicide attack in Jamrud Takhtabag check post.

KHYBER: Two police officials martyred and a suicide bomber killed in an armed attack on check-post at Jamrud, Takhtabag, in Khyber district.

The police retaliated to the attack. Many other officials were seriously injured. District Police Officer Khyber Muhammad Imran demands additional police force.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan took notice of attack on Takhtabag check post incident. Khan has asked the IG Police for a report on the incident. The CM has asked IG Police to send additional police force immediately.

The Chief Minister prayed for patience and patience for the martyred officials. He said, “The incident is very sad, the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain.”

On 30th December, a group of terrorists attacked a police picket, located in the limits of Kalachi police station in Dera Ismail Khan. The terrorists were equipped with the latest weapons including rocket launchers.

The retaliatory fire of the police party forced the terrorists to flee away after several of their accomplices were dead and several injured.

During the exchange of firing, three policemen also sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to the hospital, the DPO said.
