Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that India has refused to allow five foreign journalists permission to visit Pakistan, they were supposed to attend the 5th August session of the Azad Kashmir Assembly.

In his Message On Twitter, the federal minister said, “so much of freedom of expression we want India to allow independent Journalists to visit IOK and let them report facts.”

On the other hand, while replying to Fawad Chaudhry’s Tweet, Federal Minister for planning Asad Umar said, “We want the world to see what is happening in Azad Kashmir and they want to hide what is happening in Indian occupied Kashmir. The difference between right and wrong cannot get more stark than this.”

Earlier on July 25, a group of journalists from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) visited Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the military’s public relations wing, the visiting journalists interacted with Director General (DG) ISPR.

Journalists were briefed about the current environment and security situation along the line of control (LOC), the situation in IOJ&K and deliberate ceasefire violation (CFVs) by Indian troops targeting the civil population.

They appreciated the opportunity for interaction especially in the context of the one-year completion of India’s August 5 illegal actions.

Earlier, Indian forces had injured as many as six civilians including two women and an 11-year-old girl in separate incidents of unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC).
