During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Shakira revealed that not only did her sons have small roles in the much-anticipated Disney sequel, but they also recorded their lines alongside her. Shakira, who voices Gazelle in both Zootopia and Zootopia 2, explained how the family all worked together in the recording studio.

“They were completely at ease and very spontaneous,” Shakira shared, speaking about Milan and Sasha. “It was so easy to record their lines. They weren’t shy at all.”

Shakira went on to explain, “We all recorded our lines together. I did Gazelle, and they voiced Judy Hopps’ little brothers.”

When asked whether Milan and Sasha would like to pursue more voice acting in the future, the boys shared their excitement.

“Yeah, tons!” Sasha responded enthusiastically. Milan added, “Of course. It was such a great experience, and I’m super excited to do more.”
