Naqvi hails Pakistan Army, FC for foiling terrorist attack at Cadet College
WANNA: Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance against terrorism, stating that the country will not tolerate any effort to destabilize its peace.
Addressing tribal elders in Wana, he confirmed that terrorism originating from across the border is continuing, with Afghan terrorists involved in attacks such as the recent Islamabad District Court bombing.
Naqvi also emphasized that the Pakistani government will not compromise on the issue of terrorism, making it clear that Field Marshal Asim Munir has given a clear message: there will be no negotiations with terrorists.
Describing the attack on the Cadet College Wana as an act by “beasts,” Naqvi condemned the perpetrators, stressing that they have no relation to humanity. He stated that while there may be grievances, they should never justify the use of weapons or violence against the country.
During the meeting, tribal elders expressed their gratitude towards the Pakistan Army for their sacrifices in ensuring the safety and security of the region. They also condemned terrorism and rejected any support for groups like the TTP, reaffirming their commitment to peace and stability.
Earlier, Naqvi visited the Cadet College Wana, where he was welcomed by Major General Mehr Umar Khan, IG Frontier Corps KP South. The minister met with the brave soldiers who foiled the attack and rescued the cadets and staff safely.
Praising the courage and professionalism of the Pakistani Army and FC personnel, Naqvi said, “These are not terrorists, these are beasts with no ties to humanity. No religion condones targeting children, and anyone calling them humans is insulting humanity.”
He highlighted the successful rescue operation, noting that the terrorists aimed to replicate an attack similar to the APS massacre but were thwarted by the timely intervention of the security forces, who turned the tide and defeated the attackers.
Naqvi further announced plans to renovate and upgrade Cadet College Wana, ensuring a safe and quality educational environment for students. He also lauded the army and FC officers and soldiers involved in the rescue, declaring them heroes and a source of pride for the nation.
