FIA thwarts attempt to acquire Pakistani citizenship through forgery

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four suspects, including an Afghan national, for attempting to fraudulently obtain Pakistani citizenship.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the arrested individuals are Sadiqullah, Samiullah, Fayyaz Khan, and Younis Khan. Sadiqullah, the Afghan national, was trying to acquire Pakistani citizenship using fake documents.

The spokesperson added that Younis Khan posed as the father of the Afghan national and played a key role in the forgery, while Fayyaz Khan and Samiullah acted as witnesses and verifiers.

The FIA confirmed that Sadiqullah’s illegal attempt to obtain Pakistani citizenship was detected, and all four suspects have been taken into custody for investigation.
