Nawabshah: Pakistan’s First Lady, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, officially inaugurated the Benazir Bhutto Hockey Stadium in Nawabshah, marking a significant step for women’s sports in the region.

She also launched the All-Sindh Inter-Division Pink Hockey Championship at the newly opened venue.
The championship features female hockey players from six divisions of Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Nawabshah. Asifa Bhutto Zardari formally commenced the game by hitting the ball into the goal.

She also took the opportunity to watch the inaugural match and meet with the players from the competing teams.

The First Lady was joined at the event by notable figures, including Sindh’s Minister of Health, Dr. Azra Pechuho, Minister of Sports, Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar, and the President of Sindh Women’s Hockey, Shehla Raza.
