TASHKENT: The Pakistan U19 volleyball team made a spectacular debut at the U19 Volleyball World Championship, securing an impressive 3-0 victory against Belgium in their opening match.

Despite being ranked 19th globally, the Pakistani side completely outplayed the world number 7 Belgium in every aspect of the game, showcasing a commanding performance in Tashkent.

Pakistan sealed their win with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22.

Key contributions for the Green Shirts came from Saud and captain Yahya. Saud was particularly outstanding, scoring 13 points, including 9 crucial block points. Captain Yahya also played a vital role, adding 11 points to the team’s tally.

The Pakistani players demonstrated clear superiority over their opponents in attack, blocking, and serving points, capitalizing effectively on Belgium’s errors throughout the match.

Looking ahead in the tournament, Pakistan is set to play their next match against host nation Uzbekistan on Friday.
