Uzbekistan: Pakistan’s campaign in the World U19 Volleyball Championship concluded in the pre-quarterfinals after a highly controversial referee decision led to their 3-2 defeat against Poland. The match, played in Uzbekistan, was a thrilling encounter.

Throughout the intense match, especially in the final moments, the referee’s decisions became contentious, leading to a heated exchange between Pakistani players and the referee after the game.

Chaudhry Yaqoob, Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, stated that they will write a letter to the international volleyball governing body, FIVB (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball), to formally protest the controversial refereeing decisions.

Yaqoob revealed that after the last point, the Pakistan team manager requested the Control Committee to review the footage of the decision.

Following the review, a representative from the Control Committee admitted that Poland had committed a foul and apologized for the error. However, due to the lack of a review system for referee decisions in the tournament, the call could not be overturned.
