KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasts another hot and humid day for Karachi, with monsoon winds expected to bring light to moderate rainfall starting July 16.

The minimum temperature today was recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels exceptionally high at 79 percent. The maximum temperature for the day is anticipated to reach 35 degrees Celsius. A south-westerly wind is currently blowing at 12 kilometers per hour across the city. While the skies will remain partly cloudy, light drizzle is expected in the morning and evening.

This shift marks the onset of the monsoon system, which the PMD indicates will begin impacting Sindh, including Karachi, from mid July.
