According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, other regions also experienced extreme heat, with Dera Ghazi Khan and Dadu reaching 49°C, while Bahawalpur, Jacobabad and Rahim Yar Khan recorded 48°C.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy during the evening or night in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas, with chances of light rain at a few locations.

According to PMD, minimum temperature recorded this morning was 28.6°C and maximum temperature is expected to reach around 37°C today.

The humidity level in the air stood at 72%, making the heat feel more intense.

Due to high humidity, the “feels like” temperature may be 2 to 4 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

Winds are blowing from the southwest at 15 km/h and clear skies are expected throughout the day, with no chances of rain.

A heatwave is affecting most of Sindh, including areas outside the coastal belt.

The ongoing nationwide heatwave is expected to persist until May 24, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
