FIA arrests seven human traffickers including woman

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has conducted a major crackdown against human traffickers and agents, resulting in the arrest of seven suspects, including one female trafficker arrested.

According to officials, the arrests were made during raids in Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Kharian, and Gujrat. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohsin, Sadaqat, Naeem, Waseem, Haider, Haris, and Nabila.

The FIA revealed that the suspects collected over Rs. 15 million and 1,000 US dollars from citizens with false promises of sending them abroad.

They were found to be involved in visa fraud and in smuggling migrants to European countries via dangerous sea routes.

The legal proceedings have been initiated.

The FIA has reaffirmed its commitment to continue action against those exploiting innocent people under the guise of overseas employment.
