ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to expand his cabinet by inducting four to five new ministers.

According to government sources, the expansion of the federal cabinet is likely to take place next week when five to six new members will be added to the federal cabinet.

Government sources said that Hanif Abbasi, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry and Imran Ahmad Shah are likely to be included in the cabinet.

The government sources further said that the former Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister Tauqeer Shah is also likely to be included in the cabinet, Tauqeer Shah will be appointed as an advisor to the Prime Minister.

Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government was determined to provide better access of education and other facilities to the visually impaired people.

In a message on the World Braille Day on January 4, 2025, he said, “We are observing the Braille Day to highlight the importance of access of education for people deprived of eyesight.”

He said the objective of observing the World Braille Day was to create awareness about the rights of people deprived of eyesight. He said it was imperative to provide access to education to the special people for social and economic independence.
