KARACHI – In a significant move aimed at alleviating the financial burden of rising electricity costs, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced a major benefit for residents consuming up to 300 units of electricity per month.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on the eve of Eidul Adha 2024, bringing much-needed relief to Karachi’s renters amidst escalating power tariffs recently imposed by the government.

Who is Eligible for Free Solar System in Karachi?

Governor Tessori revealed that individuals living in rented homes in Karachi and consuming up to 300 units of electricity per month will be provided with free solar systems. This initiative is designed to help residents mitigate the impact of higher electricity bills and promote sustainable energy use.

In addition to this, Governor Tessori highlighted another initiative aimed at empowering the youth. He mentioned that free laptops are being distributed to students to enhance their self-reliance and support their educational pursuits.
