Pakistan team is currently chasing the target of 274 runs set by South Africa at Centurion in the first One Day International (ODI).

According to the reports, Proteas had posted 273 runs in their fifty overs with the loss of six wickets. The middle-order batsman Rassie van der Dussen’s maiden ODI century helped South Africa recover from a devastating start and post 273-6.

Pakistan lost their first wicket when Fakhar Zaman was bowled out by Kagiso Rabada on 8 runs. After that Skipper Babar Azam and opener, Imam-ul-Haq went back perfectly in the match.

Currently, team Pakistan scored 182 runs with the loss of one wicket, opener Imama-ul-Haq on 67 runs, and skipper Babar Azam on 103 runs. Pakistan required 88 runs in 17 overs with nine wickets in hand.

Earlier, Skipper Babar Azam on Thursday expressed confidence in winning the upcoming cricket series against South Africa.

According to the details, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam while addressing a virtual press conference said that the team underwent tough practice sessions ahead of the series and all the players tried to adapt themselves to the conditions.

Babar Azam said that ‘We will try our best to win as the team is confident and hopeful to perform well against South Africa.’ Adding that, ‘The South African team plays well on their soil, this series won’t be easy.’

Babar Azam said that ‘consistency is the key, continued hard work on the field will definitely yield positive results.’
