Gaza City: Israel’s defense minister has ordered the military to destroy all Hamas tunnels across Gaza, even as air strikes and artillery bombardments continue to hit southern Khan Younis despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire.

The renewed military push comes as President Donald Trump announced that an international stabilization force, coordinated by the United States, is expected to deploy to Gaza “very soon.” Trump said that, despite “repeated Israeli violations,” the ceasefire “is working out very well.”

Israeli forces intensified operations in southern Gaza overnight, targeting what they described as “terror infrastructure” in dense civilian areas. Palestinian health officials report that the attacks have caused new casualties and further destruction of homes and hospitals.

Meanwhile, Israel has expanded its operations into Lebanon, with fighter jets striking several southern towns after Hezbollah vowed to continue defending Lebanese territory and warned the Beirut government against entering negotiations with Israel.
