Polling has concluded in multiple states for the U.S. presidential election, and the vote counting has started, with results gradually coming in.

Of the 538 total electoral votes, Republican candidate Donald Trump has secured 267, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has earned 216. A candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes out of 538 to claim victory as president.

Voting has ended in numerous states for the U.S. presidential election, including Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Vermont, Georgia, Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

In the pivotal swing states of North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, and Maryland, polling has also closed, and the counting of votes is now underway.

The U.S. presidential race between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris has been fiercely contested. Trump won in states like Indiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina, while Harris secured victories in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Republicans hold 182 seats in the House, and 51 seats in the Senate, while Democrats have 150 and 43, respectively.
