Katrina Kaif shows Merry Christmas poster, says there’s a ‘twist’

Katrina Kaif is giving her fans an early Christmas present. On Friday, the actress presented the first poster for her upcoming film, Merry Christmas, in which she co-stars with Vijay Sethupathi. The thriller, directed by Sriram Raghavan, will be released in Hindi and Tamil theatres in 2023. Pritam’s music is also used in the film. Katrina will be working with actor Vijay and director Sriram for the first time in the thriller film.

Katrina wrote on Instagram, “We wanted to release the film this Christmas…but there is a TWIST :). See you in cinemas soon! #MerryChristmas (Christmas tree emoji)” The actor shared the first poster which shows a man and a woman holding up broken wine glasses, filled with blood. The festive mood is burst with the images of the red blood and the broken glass, indicating something will go wrong later. The poster indicates that the film will arrive in theatres soon next year.

Fans of the actor expressed their enthusiasm for her forthcoming appearance in the post’s comments section. “This is going to be your best film, I just know it,” one fan predicted. “Waiting for this twist ma’am (love eyes emoji) very happy,” said another. “We will be SEATED,” said yet another admirer. “Cannot wait for this banger of a combo! Merry Christmas is Sriram’s first film since the award-winning Andhadhun (2018), in which he starred alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte. The director is known for his neo-noir thrillers, and this new picture appears to be another suspense thriller with a twist. Vijay was most recently seen in the Tamil film DSP alongside Anukreethy Vas. He will also appear with Shah Rukh Khan in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai and Atlee’s Jawan. In addition, he will make his web series debut with Prime Video Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor.

Katrina was most recently featured in the horror comedy Phone Bhoot, alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. In addition, the actor has a third film in the Tiger action franchise with Salman Khan planned for next year. On December 9, Katrina and her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, celebrated their first wedding anniversary. They married in a private ceremony with family and close friends at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan.
