• Although dating is Drew Barrymore’s “priority” right now, she is dating.
• Drew Barrymore admits that someone has ghosted her.
• She claims. “My life isn’t quiet enough, and my kids aren’t old enough.”

Drew Barrymore admits, “I guess sometimes I force myself to put myself out there almost like a box to tick.” “Oh, let’s not lose sight of this,” I said.

However, she has a hectic schedule that makes dating challenging. She hosts The Drew Barrymore Show, has a podcast, runs her Flower Beauty and Beautiful home brand, and hosts Drew’s.

“Where does [dating] fit in when I’m such a mom and have so much on my plate, love spending time with my friends, and love being by myself? I have trouble with it “she claims. “My life isn’t quiet enough, and my kids aren’t old enough.”

Barrymore encounters some of the same difficulties as everyone else when she dates. I can’t believe how painful ghosting is, she exclaims. “I completely understand how someone who has experienced ghosting could feel as though a brush fire has passed through their bodies. It is so bizarre that someone would act in such a manner.”

And some evenings seem destined to fail right away. “On certain dates, I find myself wondering, “Oh my God, why did I say yes to dinner?” Don’t make dinner, that’s why I don’t know. I don’t want to be here because we haven’t placed an order yet “she claims.

When you have so few nights off or to yourself, it can be difficult to sit down without thinking, “S—t, I don’t want to be here,” she continues. “That alone will discourage you from dating.”

Barrymore’s fame doesn’t make matters any simpler. “I don’t get asked out that often. I don’t have all of these offers or names on my dance card, after all. That is not how my life is like, “she claims.

She’s also not searching for a hookup. “I don’t want to meet somebody so that we can have sex. I’m eager to meet new people and go on dates, “she claims. “I’m no longer in that environment where people are just wanting to hook up. Right now, I don’t even understand that.”

However, she admits that “every now and then, I’ll go on a date because it’s a very normal, natural thing to do.” I’m trying it out with just the typical female, single [thing] because I think it would be detrimental to entirely cut it out.

She always finds some silver lining, though, even on the worst dates: “I enjoy the stories that come out of it.”
