Goodfellas actor Ray Liotta dies aged 67

Ray Liotta, who starred in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 crime classic Goodfellas, has died at the age of 67. He died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic while filming Dangerous Waters, a new film project.

Karsen, the actor’s daughter, survives him. He was engaged to be married to Jacy Nittolo before his death.

He had a five-decade film career. In addition to his iconic portrayal in Goodfellas, Liotta has also starred in films such as Cop Land and Field of Dreams.

He had experienced a rise in popularity in recent years, with appearances in films such as the Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark (in which he played two roles) and Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story.

Liotta was born on December 18, 1954, in New Jersey, and was adopted at the age of six months after being abandoned at an orphanage.
