Prince George, the eldest son of the Duke of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton, accompanied his parents at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to his great-grandfather Prince Philip.

Prince George, along with the Duke of Edinburgh’s older great-grandchildren, including his sister Princess Charlotte, attended Prince Philip’s memorial service.

Prince Philip and the future king, who was eight years old at the time, had a close friendship.

Savannah, 11, and Isla Phillips, 10, the eldest grandson of Prince Philip, will be in attendance, as will Mia, Zara, and Mike Tindall’s eight-year-old daughter.

On Tuesday, over a year after his death and coronavirus-related funeral, Queen Elizabeth II will hold a thanksgiving service for her late husband, Prince Philip.

The service that took place in central London’s Westminster Abbey, will “give thanks for the Duke of Edinburgh´s dedication to family, nation and Commonwealth.”
