The gold rate in Pakistan further increased by Rs2,300 to Rs282,800 per tola in the local market on Thursday (Dec 12).

The price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,971, reaching Rs242,455, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Wednesday, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs3,100 in Pakistan.

Globally, gold prices also saw an uptick on Thursday. According to the APGJSA, the price was $2,716 per ounce (with an additional $20 premium), after gaining $23 during the day.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs3,450 per tola.
