Punjab Minister of Industry and Commerce, Shafi Hussain, has announced a significant initiative to boost local production of solar panels. The provincial government plans to establish manufacturing facilities with substantial investments from Chinese companies.

During a meeting with a delegation from a Chinese solar company, Minister Hussain discussed the establishment of solar panel factories in Punjab.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating these companies and creating a favorable investment environment.

Minister Hussain highlighted that Chinese companies are keen to invest in Punjab’s solar energy sector. He also hinted at developing a long-term policy to support this initiative.

According to the minister, the current conditions and the government’s proactive approach make this the optimal time to invest in solar energy in Punjab.
