Neil Parish: Allies push MP accused of seeing porn in the Commons to resign

Neil Parish

Allies have informed the MP accused of seeing porn in the Commons that his position has become untenable and that he should resign as a Tory MP, Sky News understands.

According to deputy political editor Sam Coates, Neil Parish’s friends are dissatisfied with the manner he preserved the peace and allowed gossip about party colleagues.

The MP for Tiverton and Honiton, who had his Conservative whip suspended on Friday, indicated that he had opened a file by oversight and will continue his parliamentary duties while an investigation was underway.

He referred himself to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Criteria several times after two female Tory MPs said they saw him watching pornography on his cell phone on two separate occasions.
