List: Sindh Govt. Eases Inoculation For Karachiites With Increasing Vaccination Centres

Amidst the growing fear of the highly contagious Delta variant of the Coronavirus across Pakistan, people are rushing towards Covid-19 vaccination centres in Karachi in large numbers following the tough restrictions for unvaccinated people.

The Sindh government has also expanded the vaccination centres across Karachi and said that they would be operational for 24 hours.

The citizens can now easily get vaccine jabs from the nearby camps designated by the government. Here is the complete list for Karachiites given below:

Earlier on Sunday, Murtaza Wahab said that the Sindh government would operationalize 11 more vaccination centres which will work 24 hours.

“In order to facilitate our citizens, #SindhGovt from today will be operationalising 11 more #COVID19 vaccination centres which will be operational 24 hours a day,” Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab wrote on his official Twitter handle.

He also requested the people to appreciate health workers who are putting in their best effort.

As per the notification, one more vaccination centre would be established in district Karachi East, three more in Karachi South, three more in Karachi Central, one more each in Karachi West and Malir and two more in Korangi.

On Saturday, Karachi’s Expo Centre witnessed chaos following the warnings issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) that salaries of the government employees resisting vaccination would be blocked.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had directed the finance ministry to stop the salaries from July of government employees who refuse to get themselves vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

On the other hand, Sindh in the last few weeks has observed a sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases as the deadly Delta variant of the virus continues to spread in the province.

On Saturday, the province reported at least 2,772 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 382,848.

As many as 30 more patients succumbed to the deadly virus as the death toll surged to 6,001.

Ahsan Iqbal Tests Positive For Coronavirus Again

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has tested positive for novel coronavirus again.

The news was confirmed by Ahsan Iqbal himself via his official Twitter handle.

He has quarantined himself at home for 14 days after testing positive. The former minister has urged people to pray for his swift recovery.

The PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has extended sincere wishes to Iqbal and prayed for his quick recovery from the infection.

Earlier, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has contracted the COVID-19, the party’s Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

She has quarantined herself after the test result, Aurangzeb said. The information secretary also asked people to pray for the early recovery of Covid-19 patients, including Maryam.

Meanwhile, Maryam, while responding to a tweet, said that she had flu, cough and fever and was being treated at home.

“Overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers & good wishes,” she said.

Note that sixty-two more deaths due to coronavirus infection and 5,026 new positive cases were reported in the country during the last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 56,965 tests were conducted and the positivity ratio remained eight point eight two percent.

Previously, speaking to BOL News’ program Tajzia with host Sami Ibrahim, Ahsan Iqbal had said that whenever the PDM tried to discuss the political and national issues, the PTI government stated it as we are asking for the NRO.

“The government is not credible at the time,” he added. “All Imran Khan has is Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif phobia,” said Iqbal.

He further added that Imran Khan only focuses on not sparing the Sharif family and calling them corrupt.

Ahsan Iqbal had further questioned, “Doesn’t he [Imran Khan] see inflation and unemployment?”

Referring to PML-N’s efforts, the National Assembly Member (MNA) said PML-N wants everyone to work together for Pakistan’s economy. “The economy which used to be positive is now going down,” he added.

“For the betterment of Pakistan, new elections should be held according to the constitution,” Iqbal demanded.

The PML-N leader further said that the PML-N has no enmity with anyone. “All it wants is Pakistan and its economy to be strong,” he added.

Iqbal had also said that the cause of the country’s problems is political instability.

Sindh Tightens COVID Restrictions; Restaurants, Schools To remain Shut

The Sindh government has decided to reimpose COVID-related restrictions in the province from Monday onwards as the country recorded 1 million fresh Delta variant cases.

Amidst the COVID restrictions, shopping malls and markets in Sindh will be allowed to operate from 6 am till 6 pm. While, karyana stores, bakeries and pharmacies will be allowed to remain operational.

The provincial government has also decided that there would be a ban on marriage halls and other functions. It was also decided that shrines in the province will be closed.

The authorities have also decided that indoor and outdoor dining will be closed in restaurants. However, the eateries will only be permitted to conduct take-away and delivery facilities.

The provincial government has also decided that education centres will be closed across Sindh from Monday onwards, but exams will be held as per plan.

The decision came following a meeting of the provincial coronavirus task force chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah here on Friday (today).

CM Murad observed that the coronavirus situation in the provinces was distressing and warned that the situation could turn more serious after Eid-ul-Adha.

Health Secretary Kazim Jatoi told the briefing that 85% of the patients admitted in Sindh’s hospitals were not vaccinated.

Sindh Govt. Decides To Block Sims Of Unvaccinated People

The Sindh government has on Friday decided to propose Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) block SIMs of unvaccinated people amid a sharp rise in Coronavirus cases across Pakistan.

The decision to block sims was shared by the Spokesman for the Sindh government and Adviser to CM Sindh on Environment Murtaza Wahab from his Twitter handle.

He said that the provincial government would approach National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) and PTA to block SIMs of unvaccinated people.

Chief Minister Sindh has also said that the PTA would be approached through the federal government to send messages to users to get vaccinated and those not getting a jab in a week will face blocking of their SIMs.
