  • Nisar Khuhro said there are many concerns over the digital census.

KARACHI: The Pakistan People’s Party-led (PPP) Sindh government has hinted at rejecting the digital census results.

All Parties Conference (APC) convened by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was held to discuss the reservations over the digital census.

The APC was attended by prominent political leaders of major political parties and representatives of nationalist parties.

PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro told the media that there are many concerns over the digital census, adding that the house census and population census cannot be completed in the prescribed time.

Nisar Khuhro said that APC demanded to separately count the overseas Pakistanis. He said that in the current digital census, CNIC was not made mandatory to count an individual. He expressed concerns that an immigrant can easily get counted in the digital census without showing national identity.

The PPP Sindh president on behalf of APC demanded that Sindh should be counted correctly by extending the time of the census. He said that the suggestions of APC were also sent to the Chief Minister of Sindh.

The APC demanded CM Sindh to discuss the issues with the federal government, otherwise, the province will reject the digital census result.

Flood affectees have right to complain and demand, says CM Sindh

affectees have right to complain
  • Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that it is the right of flood affectees to demand and complain from the government
  • There is 8 to 10 feet of water on Indus Highway, CM Sindh
  • The experts are suggesting I turn the water direction, but how it is possible?” he questioned

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that it is the right of flood affectees to demand and complain from the government, BOL News reports on Friday.

“Those talking about the dam, let me tell them that 129 million acre-feet of water came. Tell me if there is a place to build such a big dam in Sindh? How to deliver water from Sindh to Tarbela and Bhasha Dam?” he asked.

According to the details, CM Sindh talked to the media and said he had a fruitful conversation with Molana Asad Mehmood over the issues of Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway, Umarkot, Keti Sea Port, and roads in Gharo.

He said, “There is 8 to 10 feet of water on Indus Highway. We are working together with NHA, and 120 million acre-feet of water came into the land of Sindh. The water which destroyed one and a half million people were displaced in Sindh.” He urged that the affectees of floods want 1.5 million tents.

“This is my third round in the flood-affected areas, and I am going to other places now. We are going to the affected areas when people are complaining to us,” he said.

“Patience of the victims is running out, but if the government loses patience, there will be more problems. The experts are suggesting I turn the water direction, but how it is possible?” he questioned.

He said that if we get tents from anywhere, we are ready to buy them. We have to give shelter to our people and must buy rations for the affectees.

Murad Ali Shah said there is a big test on Sindh, “I am visiting the whole of Sindh. We are reaching out to the people. The media is reporting that people are suffering. I urge the media must show the suffering of the people to the citizens.”

Murad Ali Shah said that instead of showing the problems, show the sufferings of the homeless people should be shown so that people realize the minister himself is going, and people are telling their problems.

“ Media personnel must criticize, but it is not a right thing to go to one place and say that no one has reached here. The suffering of people at this time is justified,” he added.
