Mayor Karachi orders removal of political flags, banners from city

KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has announced to removal of political flags and banners from across the city.

Murtaza Wahab said that flags do not make politics, there is no picture of him in the whole city. He said banners of chairs, kites, and scales are visible in the whole city.

He said that Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman ran his entire campaign based on linguistics. He said the politics of hatred, bigotry, and terror has ended in this city.

It should be noted that the Sindh High Court had issued an order to remove signboards and hoardings of political leaders from Karachi city.

Sindh High Court heard the case of the ban on billboards and hoardings in public places during which the lawyers of KMC and Cantonment appeared in the court.

The court, talking to the lawyers, said that it was a city of civilized people or a jungle.

Later, the court ordered the removal of signboards and hoardings of political leaders from the city.
