A team from Chikkadpally police station detained Allu Arjun from his Jubilee Hills residence for questioning. Both Revathi and her son fell unconscious, with police administering CPR before rushing them to the hospital. Revathi succumbed to her injuries, while her son remains hospitalized in critical condition.

A case has been registered against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint from Revathi’s family.

Addressing the tragedy, Arjun apologized during a press meet and offered ₹25 lakh compensation to Revathi’s family. “The money I’ve given is only a gesture to show we’re there for them,” he said. “I’ll meet them once they recover and help in any way I can.” He also assured coverage of the boy’s medical expenses.

A stampede-like situation broke out when Allu Arjun made a surprise appearance, leading to the collapse of a woman and her child. According to a report in Matrubhumi, the woman, identified as 39-year-old Revathi from Dilsukhnagar, tragically died, while her child was critically injured.

Revathi had attended the event with her husband Bhaskar and their two children. Chaos erupted around 10:30 PM when Allu Arjun arrived, and police struggled to control the overwhelming crowd.

Videos circulating on X show a man frantically administering CPR to an unconscious child in the crowd. Revathi was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The situation escalated so severely that even the theatre’s main gate collapsed in the turmoil.

“Allu Arjun was seen leaving the premises shortly after, surrounded by heavy security,” the report said. “He briefly waved at fans from the sunroof and asked them to clear the way for his vehicles.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise, with Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles.

On Wednesday morning, the actor was seen at the airport as he returned home after the Tomorrowland event. He opted for a comfy look in all black as his travel outfit and the swag level was on point. Allu Arjun is currently seen in his Pushpa look, which is long curly tresses and a rugged beard. The actor is busy shooting for the sequel, Pushpa: The Rule. Reportedly, so far 30-40% shoot has been completed. He is reprising his iconic role, Pushpa Raj in the sequel. The first glimpse of the video and first look poster, which were released on the actor’s birthday raised huge expectations for the film. Fans can’t wait to see what’s in store in the second part after Pushpa: The Rise.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is mounted on a much bigger scale and with a bigger cast lineup that is going to be announced in the coming days. Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna are reprising their roles respectively. According to reports, Sai Pallavi and Vijay Sethupathi are also part of the cast. The technical department for the film comprises Miroslaw Kuba Brozek handling the cinematography and Devi Sree Prasad composing the score.

The release date of Pushpa 2: The Rule is not yet announced officially. The film is expected to release in 2024. However, sources learned that Pushpa 2 will not hit the theatres in January 2024, as expected earlier.”
