ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has filed petition in Islamabad High Court for obtaining cipher rules and guidelines.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has approached the High Court to obtain the cipher rules and guidelines.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi also filed plea to obtain cabinet decisions related to the cipher, both petitions were filed by lawyer Ali Bukhari and lawyer Faiza Asad Malik.

The petition said that petitions were filed in the special court for cipher rules, cabinet decisions. The special court rejected the petitions without using judicial mind and the trial court’s decision not to provide cipher lines, cabinet decisions is against Article 10A.

In the petition, it was requested that the court should set aside the judgments of the trial court dated October 27, November 7 and direct the special court to provide cipher guidelines and rules.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court(IHC) rejected the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cypher case.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq reserved the decision on November 8 after hearing the arguments of the parties.

The prosecution requested Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s bail petition to be rejected.

Earlier, Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Special Court of Official Secrets Act rejected the bail application of Chairman PTI and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, after which Chairman PTI approached the Supreme Court and pleaded for release on bail. Chief Justice Amir Farooq had also rejected PTI chairman’s bail request.

Today, the court rejected Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s bail plea while giving a brief verdict.

ISLAMABAD: The Special Court ordered to produce Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Co-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cypher case.

Judge Abul Hasanat of Special Court of Islamabad heard the cypher case, during which PTI’s lawyer requested to provide a copy of the cypher case, which was approved by the court.

The judge remarked that the statements of the witnesses were enough to issue notices to the accused, Chairman PTI and Shah Mahmood are imprisoned in Adiala jail, and both the accused should be produced in the court.

Official Secrets Act Court issued notice to Superintendent Adiala Jail for October 4.

Later, the court staff told lawyer Khalid Yusuf that one day would be required to provide a copy of the cypher case. A copy of the challan will be provided the day after tomorrow.

The court staff told the lawyer that notices had been issued to Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

It should be noted that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a challan in the court against Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood in the cipher case.

The FIA ​​has submitted the challan of the cypher case in the Official Secrets Act court, in which Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and Vice Chairman have been declared guilty.

PTI demands formation of judicial commission to probe Cypher case

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded the formation of a judicial commission to investigate Cypher to fulfill the demands of justice.

PTI rejected the challan submitted by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the cypher case. The spokesperson said that the challan submitted against Chairman PTI and Shah Mahmood Qureshi is as meaningless as the fake and bogus case of Cypher.

The spokesperson said that the fact that the cypher is still present in the Foreign Office in its original state, its presence proves the allegations leveled against the former prime minister to be baseless.

The PTI said the cypher was declassified by the federal cabinet under its own authority and the Official Secrets Act cannot be invoked as the case is a case to die for.

The spokesperson said that Chairman PTI repeatedly demanded an independent and impartial investigation of Cypher. The PTI chairman also sent letters to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the President of the country, but no progress could be made. A judicial commission should be constituted.
