ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan said the government has decided to set up a high-level joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate four cases filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and his supporters for allegedly attacking courts and law enforcers, vandalism and stopping the court from functioning.

In a press conference here, the minister said the JIT would be headed by Additional Inspector General of Police Special Branch Punjab Zulfiqar Hameed and representatives of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Military Intelligence (MI) and DIG Headquarters Islamabad Awais Ahmad.

Rana Sanaullah said that action will be taken against the named accused in the cases of vandalism in the judicial complex as well as Islamabad High Court and attacks on security forces.

He said that BPS-18 officers from ISI, IB and MI will be members of the JIT including DIG Headquarters Islamabad. He said that in 14 days, the JIT will investigate and present the challan in the court and bring the culprits into justice.

The minister said there are other cases filed against Imran Khan including Tosha Khana and foreign funding and he should face the courts instead of attacking them. On February 28, he said that Imran Khan came with violent protestors who forcibly entered the complex by breaking the main gate and damaging the CCTV cameras.

Following this incident, he said that a case was registered with Ramana police station which included various criminal sections including terrorism.

After that, he said that Imran Niazi came to Islamabad High Court and similarly broke the gate with a group and damaged things.

The minister said that Imran Khan, accompanied by an armed group, came to appear in a court of Islamabad once again on March 18 which also brought stocks of sticks and stones along with weapons.

He said the government has decided to take action against miscreants who pelted stones at the security forces and damaged public property

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan has said that he is ready to talk to anyone for the interests of Pakistan.

In his Twitter message, Chairman PTI Imran Khan issued an important statement about the prosperity of this country.

He said, “I will not avoid any sacrifice for the development, interests, and democracy of Pakistan, in this regard, I am ready to talk to anyone and I am ready to take every step in this direction.”

Imran Khan further said, “I want to deeply thank the people of Pakistan and our workers from all over the country, including Lahore, who joined us in the struggle for true freedom.”

PTI chief said, “I pray that Allah Almighty will make our struggle and true freedom journey successful.”

It should be noted that earlier Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan held a meeting with senior anchors.

During the meeting, he said, “he believes in the rule of law and implementation, he will appear in court on March 18.”

Former federal minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while talking to the media along with other leaders of the party at Zaman Park Lahore said that the announcement of yesterday’s rally and Minar- e-Pakistan Jalsa has left him breathless.

He said that the government wants the loss of life and property but PTI doesn’t want bloodshed. He offered the government and administration to meet him to discuss the prevailing situation.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Imran Khan is on protective bail, but despite the protective bail, the government wants to arrest Imran Khan. He said, “Give me the warrant, and I will read it and talk to Imran Khan.”

He said PTI is ready to find a way out through mutual consultation as the party has not taken the law into their hands and does not want to take it. He said PTI wants to be peaceful and asked if the government wants to drop dead bodies.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has fixed the petition to suspend arrest warrant of Imran Khan till tomorrow.

PTI senior leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain in a tweet said that the warrant is dated 18th March, so the police should end the operation immediately and wait for the court’s decision.

In his latest video message,  Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan said Police has reached Zaman Park to arrest him and added that he is fighting for masses of the country.

Former prime minister Imrna Khan said “I am fighting for people and will continue to do in rest of his life.”

He said people should prove themselves today that they are with PTI and Imran Khan. He urged the people come out from  their homes for real freedom.

On other hand, Islamabad police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse PTI workers gathered outside party chief Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

The police also arrested PTI workers and supporter while clash between law enforcement agencies and PTI supporter is underway.

Earlier, a heavy contingent of police have arrived at Zaman Park to arrest Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and to implement the court order of his summon in Toshakhana case, Bol News reported.

The police team would make the PTI chief act upon the court’s summon. The team of Islamabad police has reached Zaman Park along with Lahore police team. The CCPO Lahore has directed Civil Police Line to remain alert as police might carry out an operation.
