LAHORE: Pakistan Day was celebrated at all Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Bases and installations with traditional zeal and fervor.

The day-long celebrations started with special prayers after Fajar for the solidarity, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim World.

To commemorate this auspicious day in a befitting manner a guard mounting and wreath laying ceremony was held at the mausoleum of great poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force took over guard duties from Satluj Rangers.

The Chief Guest, Air Vice Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali, Air Officer Commanding, PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha at the grave of Allama Iqbal on behalf of Chief of the Air Staff, Airmen and Civilians of Pakistan Air Force.

Air Commodore Tanveer Ahmed, Base Commander PAF Base, Lahore was also present at the occasion.

KARACHI:  The contingent of Pakistan Air Force landed back at an operational air base of PAF after successful participation in Exercise Spears of Victory, 2023 held at Air War Centre Dhahran (King Abdulaziz Air Base), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The adroit PAF Pilots upheld their mastery and legacy of professionalism amongst the aircrew of the eight participating air forces. During the exercise JF-17 fighter of Pakistan Air Force was pitched against multiple state of the art fighters of the world, where the PAF’s fighter jet proved its combat potential and agility.

Pakistan Air Force fighters also practiced multiple tankings in one go from Dhahran to Peshawar through PAF’s own tanker IL-78 aircraft after the culmination of the exercise. The non-stop flight of jets through inflight refuellings is yet another milestone marking a momentous stride towards unconquerable aerial defence of motherland. The indigenous and imperative achievement reflects the sound foothold of operational training of PAF personnel in line with the latest developments in aerial warfare.

This pivotal moment of mid-air refuelling over international waters has proved the capability, capacity and lethality of PAF’s fighter fleet in addition to augmenting the overall combat efficacy of Pakistan Air Force. Smart inductions of PAF are giving providence by enhancing combat effectiveness and potential of Pakistan Air Force.

ISLAMABAD: A contingent of Pakistan Air Force participated in Exercise Spears of Victory, 2023 which has concluded at Air War Centre Dhahran (King Abdulaziz Air Base), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The PAF contingent consisted of pride of Pakistan, JF-17 Thunder and F-16 aircraft which roared in the aerial boundaries of our Muslim brethren country while participating in the exercise.

The exercise also witnessed participation of modern fighter jets and support elements from PAF and friendly countries.

Air Marshal Abdul Moeed Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Air Defence) witnessed the closing ceremony of the exercise and appreciated the efforts of PAF contingent for making the exercise a great success.  While interacting with the air and ground crew he said, “The existing global security scenario coupled with the evolving dynamics of air warfare calls for an enhanced partnership between Pakistan and friendly countries. International and regional strategic situation is undergoing profound changes with growing complexity in security environment and such exercises provide an opportunity to enhance interoperability in the face of shared challenges”.

The third version of the exercise started in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia during the first week of February. Besides, the host country, Saudi Arabia, Air Forces from Bahrain, Greece, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, UK and USA took part in the event.

The exercise aimed at providing an opportunity to enhance interoperability with participating countries. In addition to fostering military relations, the exercise also provided a platform to practice integrated employment of combat & combat support assets along with formulation / validation of tactics against contemporary threats.

The scenario contained a high number of offensive and defensive complex training missions with presence of electronic warfare and air defence systems supplemented with the presence of aggressive fighter aircraft to simulate enemy capabilities.

The ilyushin-78 aircraft is carrying 16.5 tons of humanitarian assistance relief goods from people of Pakistan for the earthquake affected brethren of Turkiye.

Pakistan Air Force is also making all out efforts to repatriate stranded Pakistanis in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan Embassy in Turkiye.

Earlier, All-Parties Conference (APC) called to combat soaring terrorism in the country has been postponed due to Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to earthquake-hit Turkiye.

Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb in her statement on Twitter said that the APC was postponed due to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkey. “The Prime Minister will leave for Ankara tomorrow morning.”

KARACHI: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has released a national song to pay homage to the founder of Pakistan, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Spokesperson PAF said, the song highlights the fact that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah shone a ray of hope among the oppressed Muslims of the subcontinent and united them in the form of a nation and got a separate and independent homeland for them.

It is the result of the tireless efforts of Quaid-e-Azam that we are breathing in a free country today. In the song, the pledge is renewed that every Shaheen of Pakistan Air Force is always ready to protect the motherland and will not avoid any sacrifice if required.

On the other hand, 146th birth anniversary of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated with renewed pledge to uphold his guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

The change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, during which a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul assumed the ceremonial guard duty from Pakistan Air Force cadet guards. Major General Umar Naseem was the chief guest on the occasion.

Public and private departments are holding a variety of events including seminars, conferences, competitions and discussion programs to highlight the messages and vision of Quaid-e-Azam.

President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in their separate messages in connection with birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam have urged the nation to follow the guiding principles of the father of the nation to ensure progress and prosperity of the country.

On this day, we express our gratitude for carving out a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent where we are free to realize our dreams as envisioned by the Quaid.”

He renewed Pakistan’s pledge to continue its moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiris of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in realizing their dream of self-determination in line with the UN Security Council resolutions.
