RAWALPINDI: As many as two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Esham area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the intense firing continued for hours during which two terrorists were killed. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the possession of terrorists.

The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

ISPR said the incident re-vindicates Pak Army’s resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistan and reaffirms its determination to take on any and all entities that resort to violence.

Earlier, on Jan 28, a terrorist was killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.

RAWALPINDI: Another milestone for Pakistan Army as the Army troop set to perform duties at the FIFA World Cup 2022, departed to Qatar from Nur Khan Air Base earlier today (Monday), BOL News reported.

According to the details, the Army troop consists of officers, junior commissioned officers, and soldiers of the prestigious organization. The Pakistan Army will provide security support and assistance to the Qatar government during FIFA World Cup 2022.

As per the details, In this regard, an 8-member international FIFA training team visited Pakistan earlier in September to look out for the security protocols of Pak Army. During the visit, the FIFA delegation imparted training on FIFA security to selected contingents of the Pakistan Army.

As one of the best militaries in the world, the Qatar government requested Pakistan for security assistance during FIFA World Cup 2022. In this regard, a 4-member delegation of the Qatari Ministry of Interior visited Pakistan in August.

It is to be noted that the most famous international tournament of sports in the world is all set to show its full colors in Qatar. Football fans from around the world will visit Qatar as this year’s world cup will be played in the newly built stadiums.
