TLP Protests Mobile services suspended in Lahore

Following the chaos and violent protests by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) workers taking place in major cities of Pakistan, the Punjab home department has suspended mobile and internet services in various parts of Lahore.

The cellular phone networks and Internet service suspended due to security concerns following the sit-ins by the TLP workers in the provincial capital.

However, internet services have been suspended for three days in different areas of the country, including the Baldia Town area of Karachi.

The internet service providers said that internet service has been suspended on the directions of PTA.

Moreover, the party’s protests had obstructed traffic in various cities of the country since Monday after Lahore police had detained TLP Chief Saad Hussain Rizvi.

Earlier in the day, the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has been declared null and void by the interior ministry here on Thursday.

The interior ministry has issued an official statement about the religious party in this regard.
