Pakistan Day is being commemorated with immense passion and zeal throughout the nation today (Thursday).

The day-long celebrations began with special prayers for the unity, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and the Islamic world, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the mausoleum of the great poet and philosopher Allama Iqbal.

Pakistan Day is being celebrated with traditional enthusiasm at all bases and installations of the Pakistan Air Force. A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the event. The day-long celebrations began after the Fajr prayer.

The Pakistan Air Force contingent took over the duties of the honorary guards and also offered a salute at Allama Iqbal’s Mausoleum, while a special prayer was offered for the safety of the nation. Making it a memorable and noteworthy event.

Air Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali, Air Officer Commanding PAF Airmen Academy Korangi Creek graced the event as the chief guest and laid a flower wreath at Allama Iqbal’s Mausoleum before entering his comments in the guest book.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life, making it a remarkable and memorable day in the history of Pakistan.

In celebration of the adoption of the Pakistan Resolution by the All India Muslim League in 1940 at Lahore’s Minto Park (now Iqbal Park). The resolution was a culmination of the arduous struggle by the Muslims of the subcontinent for their liberation from British colonial rule, demanding a separate homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent.

The Lahore Resolution was a pivotal moment in the history of the subcontinent, and it took about seven years after the Pakistan Resolution to give the final form to the new state of Pakistan. Historians have described this occasion as a unique and unparalleled event in the history of the contemporary world.
