JI rejects amendment, alludes to ulterior motives

LAHORE: Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaqat Baloch, has claimed that his party rejects the constitutional amendment, alluding to the ulterior motives behind it.
The deputy chief expressed his intention to organize and mobilize the public for the protection of the constitution of Pakistan.
He also mentioned that Jamaat will hold its meeting on political affairs on September 21st.
Talking about Milli Yakjehti Council’s conference for Gaza, Palestine, he informed that it will be held on October 6th in Quetta. He also mentioned observing October 7th as a day to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Asian Champions Trophy: Pakistan loses first semi-final match

China sealed victory over Pakistan at the first semi-final match of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2024.

According to the details, Chinese and Pakistani teams came face-to-face for the first semi-final match of the hockey tournament in China.

Since the match remained tied, the decision was made on the penalty shoot-out; however, Pakistan missed its chances, and the Chinese team sealed a 2-0 victory over Pakistan.

The match led to China’s qualification to the finals.

Israel’s attack on school: Children, UNRWA staff among 18 killed

As per international reports, Israel attacked al-Jaouni school in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza on Wednesday, killing 18 people including 6 UNRWA workers and children.

Additionally, the Israeli forces have killed more than 50 people in the West Bank.

Also, Israeli bombardment in parts of Gaza has claimed 12 lives while injuring others.

UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric condemned Israeli airstrikes on civilian and UN centers in Gaza.

Muzaffar Khan Sial to provide full support for T20 Blind World Cup

LAHORE: Secretary Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial stated that the T20 Blind World Cup is being held in Pakistan for the first time.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Chairman Syed Sultan Shah had a meeting with Secretary Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial regarding the T20 Blind World Cup 2024.

Muzaffar Khan Sial assured full support to PBCC for hosting the T20 Blind World Cup in Pakistan.

The secretary also highlighted the importance of the event for the soft image of Pakistan. Seven teams would be arriving in Pakistan for the event.

The 24 matches of the World Cup will be held in Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad from 21st November to 3rd December.
