Commonwealth countries are ‘waiting for the Queen to die’

Commonwealth countries are ‘waiting for the Queen to die’ before deposing royals, according to a poll.

In a survey of 1,602 respondents, 62% thought countries were waiting for the Queen to die before quitting the Commonwealth.

30%, on the other side, provided an opposing response. Among the responses were the following: “I don’t believe countries are waiting…but certainly there will be changes [once the Queen dies].”

Others added: “Why wait? Do it already!”

One user said: “Why would they wait till the Queen dies? The Queen is merely a ceremonial head.

“The Commonwealth members are independent and could have and can make that decision any time.

“It will make no difference although it may hurt the Queen a little as she holds the Commonwealth close to her heart.”

“As a member of the Commonwealth, I look forward to the continued reign of Queen Elizabeth and her successive heirs for generations to come.”

This poll comes after Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Caribbean excursion was met with a chilly shoulder.

Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, informed the Duke of Cambridge that his country wanted to opt out of the Commonwealth in order to become a republic.

“There are issues here, which as you know, are unresolved, but your presence gives us an opportunity for those issues to be placed in context, to be out front and center and to be addressed as best we can,” he told William and Kate during their meeting. “But Jamaica is, as you would see, is a country that is proud of its history and very proud of what we have achieved. And we’re moving on and we intend to… fulfill our true ambitions and destiny to become an independent, developed and prosperous country.”

Queen Elizabeth is putting aside her frailty in order to pay honour to her husband, Prince Philip.

The 95-year-old monarch made her first public appearance since testing positive for COVID-19, driving to Westminster Abbey with son Prince Andrew.

“She joined the rest of the congregation by standing to sing one of the hymns, despite prior reports she may not do so. At the end of the service, members of the Royal Family and all other attendees sang the national anthem together,” reports.

It was previously rumoured that the monarch would arrive at Westminster Abbey on a private jet.

Source told to media, “Everything is being looked at to make sure the Queen makes it to Philip’s service. But the most important thing is to make sure she is comfortable.”

“She must be there, and the best and most capable minds are hard at work doing their very best to make it work.”

“The Queen couldn’t go to the Commonwealth ceremony because they couldn’t take her all that distance as it’s very uncomfortable in all that traffic.”

“The best way is to fly by helicopter from Windsor to Buckingham Palace, then she only has a short drive to endure,” the source added.

Prince William advised going ‘further’ with the slavery apology

During their Jamaica vacation, Prince William and Kate Middleton are being scrutinised.

Sir Kier Stammer tells LBC that he believes the Duke of Cambridge did not fully apologise for’slavery’ during his speech in Jamaica.

Sir Keir told LBC: “He could have gone further, but again it’s a difficult one. And I think he may go further in the future.”

Sir Keir noted that modernization will be “bumpy,” but that it was a necessary evil. Kier admitted that their Land Rover journey in Jamaica was “a little weird” and “harkened back to the past.”

“I didn’t quite see how that actually fit that well with the aim of their trip,” he said.

“I think the tour has been a fantastic outreach for the Prince and his wife.

However, Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi disagreed: “They’ve done a tremendous job.”

Prince William addressed deep-rooted slavery practices in the history of Britain as Jamaica decides to opt out of Commonwealth.

During his speech at the official luncheon at King’s House, the residence of Jamaica’s Governor-General, Sir Patrick Allen, William apologised to the country for disappointing them.

“I want to express my profound sorrow. Slavery was abhorrent. And it should never have happened,” he said.

“While the pain runs deep, Jamaica continues to forge its future with determination, courage and fortitude,” he continued. “The strength and shared sense of purpose of the Jamaican people, represented in your flag and motto, celebrate an invincible spirit.”

Prince Harry disappoints with ‘no statement’ on Prince Philip’s memorial

At the Prince Philip Memorial service, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle disappointed royal lovers with no statement.

Former royal photographer Arthur Edwards told Sky News that the security inside Westminster Abbey is amazing, and he chastised the Duke of Sussex for creating an excuse for it.

Harry “should be here. Whether he brings his wife [Meghan] or not, it doesn’t matter”.

“The security here is incredible, I can’t tell you. He should be here,” he added.

“He is on the list,” the photographer said of disgraced son Prince Andrew.

Buckingham Palace revealed information about next week’s memorial service for Prince Philip, who died last year, on Thursday.

The memorial event will honour his life of service, his contributions to over 700 charity organisations, and his most enduring legacy, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

A royal expert, citing sources, stated that Queen Elizabeth “hopes to attend.”

Members of the royal family, including Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Cambridges, Wessexes, and Prince Andrew, were there.

The message made no mention of Prince Harry, who had declined to attend the ceremony earlier this month.

The ‘pathetic explanation’ for Prince Harry’s absence from the memorial service was highlighted during the service.

According to the late Duke of Edinburgh’s former protection officer, Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle’s absence from Prince Philip’s funeral ceremony today was the focus of talk among attendees at Westminster Abbey.

Richard Griffin, who was in charge of protecting Prince Philip and the Queen for 14 years, told Sky News that Prince Harry’s absence at the occasion was a “huge disappointment for everybody.”

Commenting on the topic of discussion among the 1,800 guests, Griffin said, “Certainly around where I was, they thought he (Harry) should have been here.”

He added: “All this nonsense about he couldn’t get protection, as far as I’m concerned that was a pathetic excuse, he should have been here to honour his grandfather. At the end of the day, if he was that worried about security he could have stuck with his brother and father who have got wonderful security. He would have been more than safe.”

Prince Philip’s private funeral request revealed!

According to recently found recollections of the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip reportedly desired a ‘small-scale’ and ‘no-fuss’ funeral.

Prince Philip, who died last year at the age of 99 during the height of a COVID lockdown in the UK, was given a quiet burial attended by about 30 people, which was precisely what he wanted.

According to Palace authorities, Philip was reported in a 2013 Daily Mail storey as stating, “I don’t want the fuss of a full state funeral.”

Even after his death, the Duke of Edinburgh refused to lie in state, a practise that requires a dead official’s body to be put in a state building.

According to a royal aide: “Prince Philip doesn’t see himself as important enough for that.”

At Philip’s death, this plan was carried out, and his body was laid to rest in a private chapel at Windsor Castle.

Philip was likewise not granted a state funeral, but rather a royal ceremonial funeral.

Mike Tindall, Philip’s granddaughter Zara Tindall’s husband, also revealed on his podcast: “I look back on the day I think is eerie as it was with no crowds and the social distancing. I think it was the perfect day for how he would have liked it, if that makes any sense whatsoever.”

Prince Harry passes up a chance to heal relations with Royals

Prince Harry blew an opportunity to reconcile with his loved ones by failing to attend his grandpa Prince Philip’s burial ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday due to security concerns.

The Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, on the other hand, took advantage of the occasion to win the hearts of his royal relatives by standing alongside the 95-year-old monarch and remaining close to his mother during the event.

The only high-ranking royal who did not attend Prince Philip’s service, which was organised by the monarch, was Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex, who was always very fond of his grandfather, may regret his decision not to attend the celebration, according to royal analysts.

Some say Harry’s refusal to return to the UK reflects a continuing schism with his blood family. There must now be serious concerns regarding his attendance at any of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Meghan Markle’s romance with a man would be ‘difficult’ for Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s return to Hollywood may face opposition from Prince Harry, according to acclaimed actor Kevin Costner.

In a 2019 interview, just after Meghan married Harry, the singer remarked on how the Duchess had gotten the attention of a lifetime.

Kevin expressed his perspective as an outsider, “Being in this circle that I don’t even understand –you know – royalty. It’s a unique spot.

“We watch it from across an ocean and sometimes we don’t understand exactly what is going on.

“She’s had enough attention for a lifetime now in a year.”

When asked if he believed Harry would want Meghan to return to Hollywood, Kevin said it was unlikely.

“It would be hard.

“Why? Because if you’re Harry — and he seems like a great guy – that’s why I’m not married to an actress.

“I don’t want to see my wife kissing somebody. I’m on Harry’s side.

“This is the step. I don’t want to be a person that is ever limiting somebody.

“There is so much thought that goes into, number one, being a wife.”

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a combined appearance at the NAACP Image Awards to accept the President’s Award for their charitable work.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who will step down as senior royals in 2020, have revealed that ‘their lives were thrown together for a reason.’

Harry then began, “Before I begin, we would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community. I also echo the immense gratitude for tonight, both for this award and this community for welcoming me so warmly. I think it’s safe to say that I come from a very different background from my incredible wife, yet our lives were brought together for a reason. We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to.”

Queen Elizabeth was ‘visibly distraught’ and heartbroken as she stood and listened to the British national hymn, God Save the Queen, at her late husband Prince Philip’s burial at Westminster Abbey today, March 29.

The 95-year-old monarch, dressed in a classic yet solemn green, attended the service alongside her disgraced son Prince Andrew, for whom it was his first public appearance since his father’s death last April and the settlement of his sexual assault case.

Queen Elizabeth not only accompanied Andrew to the Abbey, but the Duke of York also played an important role in the ceremony, walking his mother down the abbey aisle to her seat.

The Queen appeared distraught and near to tears in photos released by Express UK as she listened to God Save the Queen at the end of the thanksgiving ceremony.

Prince Philip, the Queen’s loving husband for over 70 years, died in April 2021.

According to Express UK, citing a new book, the longest reigning monarch swept her top official onto the dance floor of the Royal Yacht Britannia and showed her some top moves.

The 95-year-old monarch, who enjoys Scottish dance, learned that her duty private secretary, Mary Francis, had never attempted it.

In a new book, Francis claims that the Band of the Royal Marines played a mix of Scottish reels, and the Queen taught her attendant how to’strathspey’ and’skip-change.’
