While President Joe Biden was departing a visit to his campaign offices on Sunday night, a driver crashed into a parked SUV that was securing the president’s motorcade. There were no injuries to the president or first lady Jill Biden.
As Biden made his way from the campaign office to his armored SUV, a US Secret Service vehicle that was stationed nearby to block off intersections for the president’s exit was struck by a sedan. After the sedan attempted to go onto a blocked-off crossroads, Secret Service agents encircled it, their weapons drawn, and told the driver to raise his hands.
Biden was driven quickly back to their house and escorted into his waiting car, where his wife was already sat. The incident had no further impact on his timetable.
Regarding the event, the Secret Service refrained from commenting right away.
