It should be mentioned that on July 12, 2021, at Wembley Stadium, Italy defeated England 3-2 on penalties in the Euro 2020 final after the game finished 1-1 in normal time and extra time.
The failure of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka to score from penalty spots put an end to England’s hopes of winning the European Championship.
Because COVID-19 caused all athletic events to be halted for 2020, Euro 2020 was held a year later.
