The Marvels: Who Is Binary? explained here

In the movie “The Marvels,” the best parts are towards the end and in the post-credits scene. In that scene, Maria Rambeau, who rescues Monica after she travels between dimensions, doesn’t recognize her own daughter. Instead, she’s called Binary by Beast, wears a red and white costume, and seems unaware of Monica. So, who is Binary in “The Marvels”?

However, in Marvel comics, Binary is like another version of Captain Marvel, but it’s usually Carol Danvers who takes on that role, not Maria Rambeau. In the comics, a story from 1982 explains that Carol lost her Captain Marvel powers and transformed into Binary after certain events in Uncanny X-Men #164.

Binary is considered one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe, but her story is also quite sad. She faced a lot of unfair treatment because she’s a woman, and her origin involves difficult experiences like objectification and being a victim of sexual assault. Despite these challenges, Binary became an inspiring figure for people who have gone through similar tough situations.
