Eight-year-old Angel David of Ebejico, Colombia, was the youngest of four children and her mother’s supporter, so he didn’t have much prospect of enjoying his birthday. But when Casas Ximeno, his instructor, learned that he would turn eight on March 8, she and a friend intervened.
They came up with a plan to surprise Angel with a birthday party at school, and when they did, he gave them a precious and endearing response.
