By vertically stacking four watermelons, an Iranian professor of civil engineering proved his mettle and set a Guinness World Record.
The melon-stacking record had been listed since 2015 but had never been broken until Ashkan Rohollah Doshmanziari, 43, a professor of civil engineering and owner of a construction company, became the first individual to meet the minimum threshold set by Guinness World Records.
According to Doshmanziari, he has been stacking watermelons on his father’s farm since he was a small child.
“Everything I see at the right time and place, I try to stack them,” he said. “In general, I like the arrangement and order of things on top of each other for beauty, stability, and challenging myself.”
With a time of 10.88 seconds in 2017, Doshmanziari became the fastest male watermelon crusher and holds the record for the second-fastest time to crush three watermelons between the thighs.
