You can now enjoy the beautiful Hajar mountains while having some karak tea or savoring boiled corn on the cob. The Shees Rest Area, nestled in the mountains’ shade, has opened for the UAE’s winter season.

Located just 1km from Shees Park, which has an artificial waterfall, the rest area was inaugurated by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.

The area has 58 shops selling various goods like fresh fruits, plants, carpets, perfumes, and camping gear, as well as restaurants and cafes.

You can find potted flowers for just Dh1, and there are great deals on fruits and vegetables. Enjoy a cup of karak tea for Dh1, and you can also purchase camping equipment. There’s even an outdoor theater with greenery and a large screen for movies.
