Arafat Sermon Translation Project Reaches 500 Million Beneficiaries: Al-Sudais

MAKKAH: The project of the General Presidency for Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques to translate the Arafat sermon into 20 languages has reached more than half a billion beneficiaries.

The General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, announced the success of the instant translation project for the Arafat sermon in twenty global languages, benefiting over half a billion people around the world for the first time in the history of the project.

The General President affirmed that with great support from the Saudi leadership, the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has translated the Arafat sermon.

He explained that the project reflects the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in conveying the message of the Two Holy Mosques and the Arafat platform to the entire world.

Al-Sudais clarified that the General Presidency broadcasted the Arafat sermon through the “Manarat Al-Haramain” platform and app, as well as through radio frequencies in the holy places, using the latest broadcasting devices from the vicinity of the Grand Mosque to the whole world.

He also emphasized the continued efforts of the General Presidency in harnessing the latest modern technologies, artificial intelligence mechanisms, and electronic products that contribute to conveying the message of the Two Holy Mosques and improving the services provided to pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.

The sermon was translated into global languages including English, French, Urdu, German, Spanish, Indonesian, Bengali, Malayalam, Amharic, Hausa, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Persian, Tamil, Filipino, Bosnian, Swahili, Hindi, and Swedish.

The broadcast was carried out through the “Manarat Al-Haramain” platform and app as well as FM radio channels.
