The discussions between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to take place in Moscow the following week, according to the Kremlin.
According to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, the two presidents will meet one-on-one on Monday, followed by a “informal lunch,” before negotiations begin on Tuesday.
During his first trip to Russia since the start of the Ukrainian War, Xi will go to meet Putin, Moscow and Beijing said on Friday.
The visit will be viewed as a strong demonstration of Beijing’s support for Moscow in Western capitals, whose leaders have grown weary of the two countries’ growing alliance as the European war rages.
