- OpenAI recently released GPT-4 which changed the world.
- Elon Musk was quick to tweet about the news and founded Neuralink.
- GPT-3.5 scored 10th percentile on the bar exam, GPT-4 hits the 90th percentile.
GPT-4, which OpenAI recently released, has been in the news ever since. It is characterised as a bot that “exhibits human-level performance” but is “less capable than humans” on the official website. The fact that this new version of the examination managed to place “around the top 10% of test takers” on a stimulated bar exam is also emphasised. The tech mogul Elon Musk was among many who quickly tweeted about the news.
Elon Musk’s tweet was in response to a post made by Brett Winton, a member of the research team at asset management firm ARK Invest. “OpenAI announces GPT-4 here. Performance on human-benchmarks is rather remarkable. GPT-3.5 scored 10th percentile on the bar exam, GPT-4 hits the 90th percentile. On BC calculus it got the equivalent of a 4, good for college credit at 99% of colleges,” he tweeted regarding the recently released GPT-4.
“What will be left for us humans to do? We better get a move on with Neuralink!” tweeted the Twitter CEO. Elon Musk founded Neuralink, a neurotechnology startup that intends to produce “breakthrough technology for the brain.”
