In Glendale, Arizona, Taylor Swift will be welcomed with open arms. According to the news source, the city will be temporarily renamed in celebration of Swift starting off her much-awaited The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium on March 17.

The sites said that the city’s name will be revealed in a proclamation that will be read aloud by the mayor on Monday while the 33-year-old Grammy winner is in town to play.

According to the publications, the name change will be in effect until March 18.

The city reportedly intended to perform “something really unorthodox” to celebrate Swift’s national tour debuting in Glendale, according to the news outlets.

Greetings for the musician are also anticipated to be displayed at Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District retail center, and Swift-inspired menu items are planned for local eateries.

Before traveling to Las Vegas on March 24, Swift will perform in Glendale for two nights on March 17 and 18.

With the release of her 10th studio album, Midnights, the singer-songwriter revealed in November that she would embark on a new tour featuring U.S. dates.

Swift stated on social media that she was “enchanted to announce my upcoming tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)”.

Swift stated, “The overseas dates will be released as soon as we can! The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US!”

A couple of days later, she revealed eight additional tour dates, bringing the total to 35 performances.

“UM. I guess I’ll get to see more of your lovely faces than I had anticipated… We’re expanding the tour by 8 dates “Swift tweeted something.

As each performance will include some combination of two artists, the “Anti-Hero” singer will perform alongside opening performers Paramore, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Girl in Red, Muna, Haim, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and Owenn.

Gayle and Paramore will perform as Swift’s openers in Glendale.

Swift wrote on social media that she felt “like the happiest person alive” because she will be joining the likes of @paramore, @radvxz, @phoebebridgers, @girlinred, @whereismuna, @haimtheband, @gracieabrams, @gayle, and @owennmusic on tour.

Said she, “I am very forward to seeing your stunning faces there. It’s taken a while to get here.”
