Recently, a rare group of white kangaroos were discovered in Australia’s Mornington Peninsula’s Panorama Wildlife Sanctuary, a private wildlife sanctuary. According to National Geographic, albinism may be the reason why some animals are white. It occurs when an animal inherits one or more defective genes from both parents, which stop the body from producing melanin, the main pigment responsible for the colour of the skin, fur, and eyes.
