Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that work on M-8 to commence as top priority.

Earlier he said that $2.4 billion is being invested in one Independent Power Producer (IPP) of largest power sector.

He had also said that some detractors giving false impression of the project slowed.
Asim Saleem Bajwa said not only pace of work on projects has picked up recently, a great deal ground work done to launch phase-2.
Furthermore he said $ 7.2 billion ML-1, two Hydel Power projects investing $3.5 billion, special economic zones (SEZs) and agriculture are coming soon.
Moreover he added that scope of the project actually enhanced.
