The Holi celebration hosted by Javed Akhtar in Mumbai on Tuesday was attended by actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar. The couple was photographed walking into the location. Soon after, a number of other famous people joined them, including the actors Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Anup Soni, Divya Dutta, and more.
Shibani donned a multicoloured tie-dye maxi for the event and accessorised with sunglasses. Farhan appeared in all-white attire, wearing a kurta and pyjamas. Outside the location where the media was stationed, his father, the author Javed Akhtar, made a rare appearance. He was dressed in pants, a long white kurta, and a white hat.
Javed met the cameraman with his hands folded, and he also complied with Mumbai police’s requests for photos. To ensure the safety of the event, police were stationed outside. Anu Malik, a singer-composer who arrived with his family, joined them for a round of selfies as well.
Together with her family, Divya Dutta attended the party. Before going inside, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal posed for pictures with joy. The Holi celebration also included Anup Soni and his family, as well as Satish Kaushik.

Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, his first wife, are the parents of Farhan. Later on, he wed Shabana Azmi. A filmmaker named Zoya Akhtar is Farhan’s sister. Last year, Shibani and Farhan were married in court. In Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar’s Khandala farmhouse Sukoon, they later celebrated it with a sangeet night and a private ceremony.
Farhan last appeared in the 2021 movie Toofan. He played the part of a boxer in the movie. Last year, he also made a cameo in the Ms Marvel web series from Hollywood. He is now preparing for his return to directing. With his upcoming film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, he will once again assume the director’s cap.
In addition, Farhan performs under his own brand, FarhanLive. He recently postponed his band’s Australian concert owing to “unforeseen circumstances”.
