In contrast to their normal action-packed performances in the Matrix and John Wick series, Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne might be seen in a different avatars.
While promoting their latest film, John Wick: Chapter 4, Reeves and Fishburne spoke with the media about the idea of collaborating on a comedy.
The host advised the actors to team together for a comedy, saying it was time. The Speed actor said he supported it wholeheartedly.
Despite the fact that both performers are far better recognized for their serious roles, they praised each other’s comedic abilities.
“Yeah, that would be fun. He’s funny. He’s got a wonderful sense of humor and [is] marvelous. I mean, legend. So yeah, that’d be fun.”
He also made assumptions about the kind of buddy comedy that would work best for them. He proposed a “road comedy” storyline.
In addition to praising his co-star, Fishburne said, “We could, but… because Keanu is really funny. When he’s funny, he’s really funny. And I don’t know if I’m that funny”.
On March 24, 2023, John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released in theatres.
