WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, continues to improve the user experience by releasing new upgrades and features to all of its versions—Android, iOS, and desktop.
If you’ve been missing out on the latest upgrades and additions to the instant messaging software, now’s the chance to catch up.
Some features are still in development and not yet available to all testers; others may gradually roll out to users in the next few weeks, while others are only available to beta testers.

If you are unable to use a certain feature, you must wait for a future app update to have access to it.
The following is a summary of the upgrades and new features.
Sticker maker tool
WhatsApp is getting a new feature with the iOS 23.3.77 upgrade. Users will be able to create stickers rapidly after “extracting a subject right out of an image.”
Call link
The call connect feature is being launched for the Windows beta version of the app. The update will enable users to produce a call link and transmit it to others, who will be able to join the group call by simply clicking on the link.
Newsletters
The messaging app is working on a newsletter function for the status tap. Users will receive notifications about new app updates using this feature.
The feature will be included in a later version of the app. Also, these updates will be shown horizontally, similar to Instagram Stories.
Split view
WhatsApp launched a new feature called “split view” for the tablet version of the app in its latest release.
This new feature optimizes the UI for tablets, delivering a better experience on a large screen. Users can use two distinct areas of the program on the tablet simultaneously.
Report status
The application’s new beta release adds the option to provide status updates. Users can report status updates that they believe violate the “Terms of Service.”
“The same update also offers some users a permanent mute option within their message notification,” WaBetaInfo said.
File size
The app is launching a new in-app banner to promote the ability to share documents up to 2 GB in size.
Users will be able to effortlessly exchange documents and files up to 2 GB in size via the “document banner” now.

Chat attachment menu
WhatsApp is also working on a new chat attachment menu for a future app release.
Mute calls
This new feature allows users to silence calls from unknown numbers while keeping them in their call list and notification center.
Considering the increasing problem of spam calls in recent years, this new technology may be able to help.
